Sundar is promoted as the new CEO of Google! While the founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page will continue to lead the Alphabet, which is now the company owns Google Larry Page and Sergey Brin now run Alphabet, and Sundar Pichai is the new CEO of Google!
1) Sundar was born in Chennai, India, Pichai earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) in Metallurgical Engineering.
2) He holds an M.S. from Stanford University in Material Sciences and Engineering and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Siebel Scholar and a Palmer Scholar.
3) He did his schooling from Chennai at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Nungambakkam. Before working at Google Pichai worked in engineering and product management at Applied Materials and in management consulting at McKinsey & Company.
4) Pichai is the person behind the flagship web browser Google Chrome and Google Chrome operating system. Sundar was able develop and establish a superfast browser while Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers were ruling the web.
5) Pichai was in charge of Android after Android co-founder and CEO Andy Rubin stepped down in March 2013.
6) On 20 May 2010, he made the new video codec VP8 by Google open, and introduced the new video format WebM which is compatible with all the popular web browsers.
7) Pichai is married to Anjali Pichai and has a daughter and a son. Pichai is the new CEO of Google !
